What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the founding list.
- Your ZIP code, only if you choose to give it.
- How you found us: the app or site that sent you (for example Instagram, TikTok or a friend's link), any campaign tag in that link, and whether you were on a phone or a computer.
- Your referral code, so we know which friends you brought along.
- Messages you send us through the contact or bar and store forms: your name, email, business and what you wrote.
We don't collect payment details, we don't sell anything on this site, and we don't use advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To send NOVA news, recipes, votes and launch details (a couple of emails a month).
- To decide where to launch first and which posts are worth making more of.
- To answer your messages.
Who handles it for us
A few services help us run the list: Resend sends our email and delivers contact messages to our inbox,Google Sheets holds our list records, and our web host serves the site. They use your details only to provide that service to us. We don't sell or share your information with anyone else.
Your browser
The site saves a few small notes in your own browser: that you confirmed you're 21+, that you already joined (so we stop asking), and where your visit came from. No advertising cookies. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Your choices
- Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link that works in one click.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time through our contact page (choose "Privacy request"). We'll handle it within 30 days.
- Residents of Virginia and other states with privacy laws have these rights by law; we offer them to everyone.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After an unsubscribe we keep only your email on a do-not-mail list, so we never email you by mistake.
Adults only
NOVA is for people 21 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and we delete it if we find out we have.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell the list.
